Jehan is a former front-end developer with ten years’ experience in web and enterprise application development.
Jehan has been a cryptocurrency investor since 2013, with successful investments including Bitcoin, Ether, Litecoin, Melonport and acts as Advisor to the Melonport, QTUM and OpenANX.
He founded the Ethereum HK community (2014), co-Founded the Bitcoin Association of Hong Kong (2014) and founded the Hyperledger HK community (2016). He was a partner with the HKMA on the Blockchain: Surge event, and a Gerson Lehrman Group (GLG) Council Member.
Jehan is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University and a Masters degree candidate at Hong Kong University (2017).
Prior to co-founding JEN Advisors, Stephan was a Managing Director in HSBC's Investment Banking division and head of Strategic Equity and Financing for Asia. In this role, he structured private transactions for a wide range of clients (Private Equity Firms, Family Offices, Corporates, SWFs).
Stephan has over 16 years of experience in Banking spent mostly on derivatives products across Fixed Income and Equity. He started his career with Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and worked in Paris, London and Hong Kong (since 2008).
Passionate by technology, he has been angel investing since 2007 in semiconductor and AI start-ups. He became interested by Blockchain technology in 2015 through macro-economy applications.
Stephan holds an MBA from ESSEC and is Type 1 and 4 licensed by the Hong Kong SFC
Lawrence Chu is the Vice-Chairman of Venture Smart Group. He is also the Co-founder and Managing Partner of BlackPine Private Equity Partners, an independent investment firm based in Hong Kong with a Greater China focus. Throughout his career, Mr. Chu invested in companies such as Lufax, C2FO, WH Group, Evergrande and GCL Polysilicon.
He was formerly a non-executive director of AMTD Group Limited, an affiliate of Morgan Stanley (NYSE: MS) and CK Hutchison Holdings (SEHK: 0001), and non-executive director of Quali-Smart Holdings Limited (SEHK: 1348).
Mr. Chu previously worked as a portfolio manager at UBS O’Connor in Hong Kong focusing on Asian investments in real estate, financial institutions and consumer companies.
Mr. Chu graduated from University of Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. He is a member of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, the Hong Kong Private Equity and Venture Capital Association serving on the Venture Committee.
